Assembly Over GLR

The Assembly Over GLR (Glass-Lined Reactor) is a modular overhead process package designed for integration with large-capacity glass-lined reactors, where full borosilicate glass reactors become impractical due to size, pressure, or thermal duty limitations.

These assemblies replicate the functional advantages of full glass systems—such as transparency, chemical resistance, and process control—while utilizing a glass-lined steel reactor as the base vessel. The overhead section is constructed using borosilicate glass components and high-duty glass shell & tube heat exchangers, making it ideal for reaction under reflux, fractional distillation, solvent recovery, and vapor handling at production scale.

As reactor volumes increase, coil condensers are replaced with shell & tube glass heat exchangers to safely handle higher vapor loads, improved heat transfer, and continuous operation. Assemblies are commonly installed over 250 L to 3000 L GLRs and beyond, with engineered vapor columns, condensers, receivers, and auxiliary modules matched precisely to reactor size.

These systems are widely used in pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, agrochemicals, and bulk intermediates production.
